Avis delivers the personal touch

I was travelling around the country with a group of staff on a business road show – visiting a different town every day. On 1 August 2012 we landed at the Bloemfontein Airport and went to pick up our rental car at Avis. There was no car booked for us and we were exhausted and just wanted to get to our hotel. (Unknown to us at the time, our travel agent had booked the car in Johannesburg instead of Bloemfontein by mistake). There was no car available for us, but the Avis branch manager Martin Pienaar, seeing how stressed we were, said that if we didn't mind going in a car that hadn't been cleaned from the last client, he would be happy to drop us at our hotel. In two minutes he had the three of us in a car on the way to our hotel. We really appreciated the personal touch and that Martin went beyond what was expected of him to ensure we got the best service possible. It is not often that you find someone who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction.
